Directions from the hotel staff

From London:

Take the M25 motorway to junction 7, signposted M23 (Brighton). Take the M23 southbound. The M23 becomes the A23 and takes you into Brighton. At the roundabout on the A23/A27 take the first turning on the left joining the A27 towards Worthing. Take the next available junction off the A27 which will be signposted for Hove. At the top of the slip road take the second left off the roundabout and proceed down Dyke Road Avenue (which becomes Dyke Road). After approximately 1.6 miles, turn right at the traffic lights into The Upper Drive. Follow this road over the next set of lights) junction of Old Shoreham Road - A270) to the end then turn left into The Drive (B2186). Continue straight down to the seafront. At the seafront, turn left, stay on the nearside lane and proceed for approximately 1 mile where you will find the red bricked Metropole.

From Gatwick Airport:

From Gatwick Airport, take the M23 southbound, following signs for Brighton. The M23 becomes the A23 and is a direct road into Brighton. Take the M23 southbound. The M23 becomes the A23 and takes you into Brighton. At the roundabout on the A23/A27 take the first turning on the left joining the A27 towards Worthing. Take the next available junction off the A27 which will be signposted for Hove. How to get to EKC2013 from Heathrow airport

There are mainly three ways to get to EKC2013 from Heathrow airport.

  • 1. Using National Express (express bus) from Heathrow airport-to Brighton: Takes 2hr
  • 2. Take Train to Victoria from Heathrow airport (1hr) and change to train to Brighton from Victoria train station (1hr 30min): it takes 2hr 30min
  • 3. Take National Express bus to Gatwick airport (45min-1hr) and transfer to train to Brighton (30-45min): it takes around 1hr 30min

Upon three different routes shown above, the easiest way to get to hotel is taking National express bus to Brighton from Heathrow airport.

  • A. If you are using Korean air: Upon your arrival, exit from terminal 4 and take National express bus to Brighton from station. (click this link )
  • B. If you are using Asiana air: Upon your arrival, exit from terminal 1 and take National express bus to Brighton from station. (click this link )

If you book your ticket from same link provided above (national express official website) in advance, you may get discount.

When you have arrived in Brighton, get off from bus at Pool Valley Coach station. Please use the below to see how to get to hotel from bus stop. (Walk: around 9min, Taxi: 1min)

How to get to EKC2013 from Gatwick airport

1. Train: First Capital Connect and Southern train run frequent services from Gatwick Airport to Brighton (30-40 minutes) cost: £7.40 to £8, single fare (can get discount price if you book advance). National Rail Enquiries: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ +44 (0)845 484950

  • Take train to Brighton from Gatwick airport train station (see below), at south terminal (if your flight landed on North terminal, you must take shuttle train to south terminal).
  • Get off from the train at Brighton train station and travel to EKC2013. (use the map below to see how to get to hotel from bus stop. Walk: around 14min, Taxi: 6min)

2. National Express (bus): The coaches from National Express also run from Gatwick Airport to Brighton (around 45 min, cost: £6.80 single).


3. Gatwick Express: The Gatwick Express route has been extended to provide passenger services from Gatwick airport to Brighton station. Gatwick Express operate 6 services daily in the morning peak hour, and six services daily in the evening from Brighton train station to Gatwick train station, calling at intermediate train stations along the route. Brighton trains only operate on weekdays.
